• 2nd, this forum can only provide very general assistance. If you’re unable to fix the hack on your own, then, unfortunately, your choices are to find professional help or take down the site so it won’t send spam to or infect others. Those are really the only socially responsible choices–& owning a website is a social responsibility. We’ll try to provide you with the tools you’ll need, but repairing & reclaiming a compromised website does require some degree of technical expertise, & if you don’t have it, then your only responsible options are, unfortunately, those already mentioned.

 

• 3rd, please post the website url you’re inquiring about, but please construct links as hxxp://yoursite.com so they will not be inadvertently clicked, with the potential to cause harm. Failure to post your site url or to post it in this way will likely cause your post to go unanswered. Also, please include what you’ve done to try to repair your site, if anything.

 

• 4th, if your site contains adult content, please so indicate.

 

• 5th, for security reasons, this forum does not accept attachments or links, except as formulated in guideline 3, above.

 

• 6th, if your post has not been answered in more than 72 hours, please make a second post to your topic to that effect. As mentioned before, those answering your queries have lives as well & therefore may not be able to get to your question as quickly as either you or they would like.

 

• 7th, before you can create or reply to a post, you must have an account on the site, & you must be logged in.
• 8th, please create your own topic. Do not piggyback on others’ topics, as this creates a great deal of confusion.
